The problem we face today in society’s all across the globe is the tendency to look to “quick fixes” to our problems, especially, when it comes to looking and feeling better.
If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be drink water. Problem is, it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg and usually doesn’t come in a glistening, space age, hermetically sealed package.
Most health and beauty problems, can be linked back to dehydration.
Everything we do involves water usage, our bodies need it to survive, but many of our daily habits reduce the actual amount of water our bodies can use effectively, resulting in negative consequences for how we look, how we feel and how we perform. For example, our morning cup of coffee, that’s mostly water there, right? Wrong. Although coffee is water-based, like all caffeinated beverages, coffee is a diuretic, forcing itself–and everything else–right through your system. This dehydrates you. For every cup of a caffeinated beverage you consume, you must replace it with 2 glasses of water.
Dehydration may even be why you feel you need that extra cup of coffee in the morning, your body just doesn’t have enough energy to get you going in the morning, making stimulant like caffeine necessary to “perk” you up.
Get back on track and get on the bottle, the water bottle, that is. 12 glasses a day will keep you happier, healthier and better looking–something your body (and your face!) will thank you for.
